the afternoon of March 24th, the golf specialty teaching guidance
committee engagement ceremony was held in the international
academic reporting hall. The general managers of Hainan Ya Long
Bay Golf Club, Shenzhen Noble Golf Merchant Club, Citic Forward
Golf Management Company and etc. ten golf club were engaged
as committee members. Rector Zhang Zhengkui issued the contracts
to the committeemen. The founding of the committee aims at strengthening
the contact between our college and the golf business circles,
promoting the teaching and researching with the golf and leisure
management specialty, and building the golf specialty teaching
practice base.
Rector Zhang Zhengkui looked forward to the develop
prospects for golf industry and the need of golf management
personnel in the speech. He indicated that our college was the
first to open golf and leisure management specialty at the undergraduate
course in the whole nation, and this was complying with this
kind of industrial requirement. This specialty has become the
characteristic specialty of our college. Rector Zhang said that
we stressed that the innovative personnel should combine specialty
and industry, as well as theory cultivation and putting into
practice. The founding of golf specialty teaching guidance committee
was that the college gave play to the superiority, and realized
the second exploration to combine industry, study and research.
He believed that the committee would promote the development
of golf and leisure management specialty positively. Rector
Zhang also encouraged the professional teachers and students
who attended the ceremony to teach with great concentration,
make great efforts constantly and contribute to Shenzhen and
even China tourist industry and golf industry. The administrative
vice rector He Jianwei instructed the running and development
condition of the golf specialty in the ceremony.
After the ceremony, golf specialty teaching guidance
committee held the first conference, and elected the general
manager of OCT golf club Yuan Tiejian as the director of the
first committee. Each committee member expressed their views
about the aim orientation of the professional personnel cultivation,
the course content setting, requirement circumstance of this
kind of personnel in the society, the practice base construction
and so on. They also put forward a lot of good suggestion.
