the afternoon of March 18th, the auditorium of Shenzhen Tourism
College of Jinan University was permeated with the excitement
and agitation, for being here Mr. Yu Qiuyu, the famous scholar
gave a speech named Random Talking on the Present Tourism Culture.
At the 3:00pm, with the accompany of He Jianwei, the Executive
Vice Dean of the college, Professor Yu Qiuyu entered the auditorium.
After Dean He Jianwei¡¯s brief introduction, Professor Yu started
the speech.
Professor Yu Qiuyu gave the speech from the following aspects
such as the Meaning of Tourism, the Four Misunderstandings existing
in the Present Tourism, the Advantages and the Disadvantages
in the Tourism of China, the Three Needed Persons with Abilities
in the Tourism and so on. He pointed out that there were tremendous
meanings on economy, spending leisure time and culture existing
in tourism, the new and developing industry in China. Meanwhile,
he pointed out that although the tourism in China has the advantages
on traffic, culture and the serious attention from the government,
there are still existing the four misunderstandings which cannot
be removed in the short-term period, such as language, facilities,
food and drink and advertisements. Professor Yu prospected that
if the tourism in China develops healthily and normally, China
would be worthy of the name of a great country on tourism and
at that time, the land of China would be much more splendor.
From 5:00pm, Profess Yu answered the questions raising from
the students patiently and carefully. These questions were related
to the lecture, literature and the culture of China. Professor
Yu did the detailed explanations which made the students very
satisfactory.
During the 2-hour and 45-minute speech, Professor explained
experience as a master of tourist analyzed the issue on the
tourism with the language of litterateur. He used a good number
of figures of speech, cases and beautiful language to explain
the issue. In the process of the speech, the students were absolutely
absorbed in it and the meeting place was very quiet. The students
responded with a storm of applause at each splendid moment.
Professor Yu analyzed the profound things in a simple way. His
points of view were unique, novel and incisive. All of them
made the students find everything new and fresh and let them
not only touch the totally new thoughts, but expand the new
field of vision as well. The students did feel the demeanor
of a great master.
This speech not only took the positive effect on the learning
on the tourism of the students, but also helped the students
raise the deep comprehension of the Chinese culture. It would
